Port Harcourt, Rivers – Twin explosions rocked the rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital on Thursday, January 19.
According to The Punch, no less than three persons were injured at the rally which was going on at the Rumuwoji Playground.

The affected persons were women and have been rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

Darlington Nwauju, the APC publicity secretary in the state confirmed the explosion, stating that it is an unfortunate development.
However, the spokesperson of the police in the state, Iringe-Koko is yet to comment on the incident but has promised to speak on it soon.

As of the time of filing this report, neither the state government nor the police has made an official statement on the explosions.
Tension in Ondo as soldiers allegedly sponsored by APC lawmaker to attack PDP members
calabargistblog.com.ng in an earlier report disclosed that the Ondo state chapter of the PDP has claimed that Tajudeen Adefisoye, a lawmaker of the APC representing Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency, sent soldiers to attack its members.
The lawmaker had earlier claimed that some youths of the PDP attacked his convoy while some of his supporters were subsequently injured in the Idanre area of the state.

In its reaction, the PDP claimed that its members were invaded in response to the alleged attack on the lawmaker.
