Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif lately mentioned his achievement of being named Ghana’s most-streamed artist on Spotify for 2 consecutive years. In an interview with Capital Xtra, he expressed gratitude for the help he receives, stating that it motivates him to create extra impactful music.

Reflecting on his journey, Black Sherif, talking with Kamilla Rose on Capital Xtra within the UK, shared his pleasure about reaching such a big milestone. He emphasised that this recognition fuels his ardour for music and permits him to precise himself creatively within the studio. Spotify’s annual record for 2023 confirmed Black Sherif as essentially the most streamed Ghanaian artist. He surpassed notable figures like Sarkodie and Stonebwoy.
When requested how he felt to be essentially the most streamed artist he mentioned, “It is loopy. I feel these are a part of the explanation why I need to make music and see how far it will get. It makes me need to do extra and it offers me loads of freedom as a result of no one was policing this music. I like freedom with artwork. I like to do no matter I need within the studio and see what it does for me”.
As well as, the rapper will probably be taking the stage at Rolling Stone’s 2024 Future of Music festival. He will probably be becoming a member of a lineup that features Teezo Landing, Younger Miko, Flo Milli, Uncle Waffles, Peso Pluma, and others.
