Egwu by Chike and Mohbad hits 1 million views only a day after its launch.
Chike launched the music video of Egwu which honours the late Mohbad on February 29, 2024. The smash hit obtained a million views in lower than 24 hours of its launch. At the moment, the music video has 1.4 million views on YouTube.
Directed by Nigeria’s feminine director, Director Pink, the video creatively incorporates visuals and scenes commemorating Mohbad throughout his posthumous verses. Even the King of Afrobeat, Davido endorsed the music. Davido shared a snapshot suggesting he was streaming the monitor on his automotive gadget. Alongside the picture, he expressed his love for the music with the caption, “Chai (with a love emoji).”

The music star obtained the No 1 plaque for his chart-topping music Egwu, that includes the late Mohbad. Egwu claimed the No 1 place on the Official Nigeria High 100, marking Chike’s inaugural entry on the high of the official singles chart in Nigeria.
